Who we are
Wheat Steak is a small batch, artisanal, sourdough bakery established in 2024 in Lee’s Summit Missouri by Chef Daniel Walker. At Wheat Steak, we believe that our food system is “broken”, and the current western diet is the source of many health ailments. Our mission at Wheat Steak is to provide an exceptional, wild yeast sourdough that is nutritional while showcasing organic grains from local mills and heartland farmers. Creating a spot in the community that celebrates Old World, fermented sourdough breads.
